Privacy Policy for UniMic

UniMic captures microphone audio on your device and sends that audio to the receiver address and port that you choose. This Privacy Policy explains what information UniMic uses, stores, and transmits.

Information UniMic Uses

• Microphone audio, when you grant microphone permission and start streaming.
• The receiver IP address and port that you enter.
• Your selected microphone or input source.
• Audio input device information provided by the operating system, such as available microphone names and source options.

How UniMic Uses Information

• Microphone audio is used to stream live audio from your device to the receiver you configure.
• The receiver IP address, port, and selected input source are used to configure and operate the audio stream.
• Audio input device information is used to display available inputs and let you choose which source to stream.

Information Stored on Your Device

UniMic stores the following settings locally on your device:

• Last used IP address
• Last used port
• Last selected input source
• Last selected built-in iPhone microphone source, when applicable

These settings are stored locally so UniMic can restore your previous configuration.

Information Sent Over the Network

When you start streaming, UniMic sends microphone audio over the network to the host and port you specify. UniMic uses a UDP connection for this transmission.

Information UniMic Does Not Collect

UniMic does not require account creation and does not collect personal information for developer-operated analytics, advertising, or marketing purposes.

UniMic does not collect location data, contacts, photos, or files.

Permissions

UniMic requests microphone permission because microphone access is required for the app’s core functionality. If you do not grant microphone access, UniMic cannot stream audio.

Third-Party Services

UniMic does not include third-party advertising or analytics services.

If you send audio to a third-party receiver or service, that third party’s handling of the audio is governed by its own privacy practices.

Data Retention

Locally stored settings remain on your device until you remove the app, reset the app’s data, or replace those settings with new values.

Security

UniMic sends audio to the receiver you configure. You are responsible for selecting a trusted destination and using a trusted network environment.

Children’s Privacy

UniMic is not directed specifically to children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if UniMic’s features or data practices change.
