MG Notify Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MG Notify collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the MG Notify iOS app, the MG Notify web portal, and related notification services (collectively, the “Service”).

MG Notify is designed to let you receive push notifications on your iOS devices and manage your account, devices, sounds, and notification history through a centralized account system.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, MG Notify may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your email address and account password.
• Authentication data: session tokens and password reset tokens used to secure access to your account.
• Device information: device identifier, device name, platform, APNs token, APNs environment, selected notification sound, and most recent IP address associated with device registration activity.
• Notification content and history: notification title, message body, device delivery target, delivery status, timestamps, and related notification history stored for your account.
• Sound management data: the sound setting you select for your device and any sound files you choose to import into the app for local notification playback support.
• Support and operational data: records needed to operate the Service, troubleshoot delivery issues, maintain security, and respond to password reset or account management actions.

2. How We Use Information

MG Notify uses information collected through the Service to:

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Authenticate sign-in sessions and protect account access.
• Register devices for push notification delivery.
• Send notifications through Apple Push Notification service.
• Display notification history and account-related information inside the app and web portal.
• Process password reset requests and account management actions.
• Allow users to manage notification sounds and device preferences.
• Detect misuse, protect the Service, investigate errors, and improve reliability and security.

3. Push Notifications

MG Notify uses Apple Push Notification service (“APNs”) to deliver notifications to your iOS devices. To do this, MG Notify stores your device’s APNs token and related device registration details. Notification content that you or your connected tools send through MG Notify may be transmitted to Apple for delivery to your device.

4. Passwords and Security Credentials

MG Notify stores passwords in protected hashed form rather than as plain text. Session tokens and password reset tokens are used to authenticate actions and maintain account security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

5. Imported Sounds

If you import custom notification sounds into the iOS app, those files are stored locally on your device for use by the app. MG Notify may store the name of the sound selected for your device in order to coordinate notification behavior across your account, but imported sound files themselves are intended for local app use on your device unless you separately share them elsewhere.

6. When Information Is Shared

MG Notify does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only as needed to operate the Service, including:

• Apple: for push notification delivery through APNs.
• Email service providers or SMTP providers: for password reset or account-related email delivery.
• Infrastructure and hosting providers: where necessary to host, secure, and operate the Service.
• Legal or safety reasons: if disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service.

7. Data Retention

MG Notify retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, keep notification history, and comply with legal obligations. Data may also be deleted earlier when you remove account content, clear notifications, sign out devices, or delete your account.

For example:

• Notification history may remain stored until you delete individual notifications, clear all notifications, or delete your account.
• Registered device records may remain stored until you sign out the device, remove the device, or delete your account.
• Password reset records and sessions may be invalidated or removed when no longer needed for security or account operation.

8. Your Choices and Controls

You may be able to:

• Update or change your account password.
• Sign out of the app or remotely sign out devices through the web portal.
• Delete individual notifications or clear your notification history.
• Manage API keys and device settings through the web portal.
• Delete your account, which is intended to remove associated account data from the Service.

You can also control whether the app can receive notifications through your device’s iOS notification settings.

9. Data Security

MG Notify uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect account information and service data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

10. Children’s Privacy

MG Notify is not directed to children under 13, and the Service is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the Service, the account owner or parent/guardian should contact the Service operator so the information can be reviewed and, where appropriate, removed.

11. International Use

If you use MG Notify from outside the country where the Service is operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If material changes are made, the updated policy will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means the updated Privacy Policy will apply to your use of the Service.
